Lead Teacher Application Information
Overview
The GK-12 Transforming Experiences Project at UC Denver offers a unique opportunity for middle school math and science teachers in Jefferson County and Englewood School Districts to have a Graduate Fellow, called a "Resident Mathematician" (RM) or "Resident Scientist" (RS), in their classroom for approximately 10 hours/week. This Fellowship provides graduate students, who are committed to becoming academic professionals in higher education, with the opportunity to increase their knowledge about student learning and effective teaching practices, improve their communications skills and convert their respective science and mathematics research interests into classroom interactions and interdisciplinary lessons.
