Scott Wallace
Middle School: Dunstan Middle School
Discipline: Science
Scott has been a Middle School Science teacher for 19 years. He currently teaches 8th grade Science at Englewood Middle School. Having been a scientist and microbiologist before becoming a teacher, he enjoys engaging students in meaningful science experiences. Scott has a Masters of Education in Science Curriculum and Pedagogy form the University of Colorado at Denver. He is an avid mountain biker and spends his summers designing and installing Japanese gardens, water features, and flower gardens.
Miranda Dobbs
Middle School: Englewood Middle School
Discipline: Mathematics
Miranda currently teaches 8th grade Math and Algebra and Englewood Middle School. Miranda received her Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University and her Masters of Art in Curriculum and Instruction (emphasis in science) from the University of Colorado Denver. Along with having a Resident in her classroom, Miranda is involved with a grant that teaches math through visual art. She also coaches Volleyball and Track. She was a Lead Teacher for the GK-12 project the for three years and is excited for year 4!
Jaye Shomaker
Middle School: Ken Caryl Middle School
Discipline: Science
Jaye Shomaker is in her 8th year of teaching at Ken Caryl Middle School in Jefferson County, where she has been teaching science to 7th grade students. She is interested in creating opportunities for experiential learning experiences for students. She has accompanied students on trips to Washington D.C., as well as Tall Ships expeditions. Her educational background includes a B.A. in Biology from Metro State College, with a minor in Secondary education. Jaye has also been involved in numerous Rocky Mountain Middle School Math and Science classes and research experience for teachers, and has traveled to Washington D.C. for a workshop about the science behind food-borne illness. She completed her Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Colorado in Denver. Jaye and her husband and three daughters are all natives of Colorado. Spare time is spent hiking, traveling, running, yoga, and kickboxing.

Scott Ramsey
Middle School: Moore Middle School
Discipline: Mathematics
Scott is a 3rd generation Colorado native. He grew up in Ft. Collins, but moved to the metro area when he and his wife married. He earned both his bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Northern Colorado. Scott has taught at the middle school level for the last 19 years, including stints teaching math, science, and computer applications. When he is not at school, Scott enjoys camping, fishing, wood working, and spending time with his wife and four children.
Hoppe Jennings

Discipline: Science
Hoppe Jennings is originally from New York. She is in her 13th year of teaching at Moore Middle School in Jefferson County, where she has been teaching science to 8th grade students. Her educational background includes a B.A. in Bio-Chemistry from Metro State College, with a minor in Secondary education.She also has a B.A . in Fine Arts from SUNY Purchase, NY. She completed her Master's degree in School Counseling from Phoenix University. She is a life-long learner and always on a journey of discovery in her classroom and in life.
